Bank Holiday Wine Dinner at Fish Shop Ballater with The Strong Water Co.

We are delighted to announce our first collaborative wine dinner with Fish Shop Ballater, taking place on Bank Holiday Monday, 25th May 2026, in the heart of Royal Deeside.

Hosted alongside our neighbours at Fish Shop Ballater, this special evening will bring together exceptional food, world-class wine, and some of the finest local produce Scotland has to offer.

A Six-Course Wine Dinner in Ballater

The evening will feature an exclusive six-course tasting menu created by Fish Shop’s Marcus Sherry, with each dish carefully paired to complement a selection of outstanding wines from the renowned Fenocchio family winery in Piemonte, Italy.

Guests will enjoy a relaxed communal dining experience, designed to celebrate great wine, incredible food, and conversation around the table.

Featuring Wines from Giacomo Fenocchio

We are incredibly excited to welcome special guest speaker Letizia Fenocchio, sixth generation of the Fenocchio family and daughter of acclaimed Barolo producer Claudio Fenocchio.

Throughout the evening, Letizia will guide guests through each wine pairing, sharing insight into the family’s history, winemaking philosophy and the unique terroir of Piemonte.

From elegant whites to structured and expressive Italian reds, this promises to be a memorable showcase of one of Italy’s most respected family wineries.

Marcus has created a fabulous seasonal menu designed to perfectly marry the wines with outstanding local seafood and produce. Combining the culinary expertise of Fish Shop Ballater with hand-selected wines from The Strong Water Co., this event promises to be one of the standout food and wine evenings in Ballater this year.
