In November 2025, The Strong Water Co. opened its second shop in Ballater on Royal Deeside, expanding its specialist wine and whisky offering to 2 Bridge Street, Ballater, alongside its original location at 78 High Street, Banchory.Guy Finlayson, an experienced wine merchant, is bringing knowledgeable wine buying and personalised advice back to the High Street. Reinventing the classic retail experience of tasting, appreciating and understanding what you're taking home, customers leave with new knowledge and a carefully selected bag of exceptional drinks.Every bottle we stock is chosen for its character and story — from family-run vineyards and independent distilleries to small-batch producers.
