The Strong Water Co. is bringing back the old-school buying experience to Banchory’s High Street. The shop will provide specialist knowledge across red, white & rose wine, champagne, prosecco, beer, gin, whisky and various other tipples. Brought to you from the brothers behind MFGF Events Ltd, the company behind Banchory Beer Festival, True OriGINs - The Scottish Gin Festival, and Inverurie Beer Festival.
Guy Finlayson, experienced as a wine merchant, is bringing specialist wine buying & advising back to Banchory’s High Street. He will reinvent the classic retail experience of tasting, appreciating, and knowing what you're taking home - you'll leave the shop full of new knowledge and with a bag full of tasty drinks. We believe each product is rich in history and are keen to tell you its story so that you can create many more of your own stories with each bottle you take away.

Guy Finlayson
Co-Founder / Director of Drinks
Guy is one of the founding brothers of The Strong Water established in November 2019. Guy is in charge of the retail side of the business and what we stock in the shop. Guy’s background has always been in the drinks industry, especially wine and whisky. He can recommend something for all tastes and budgets.
Mungo Finlayson
Co-founder / Director of Operations
Mungo is the other founding brother of The Strong Water Co. Mungo is in charge of the online side and the operations of the business. Mungo’s background is in logistics, making sure all the systems are in place for a smooth customer experience with The Strong Water Co.
