Rioja from a respected producer, full of black fruit plus an intriguing sour note, so that added to the sweetness of blackberries and blackcurrants comes to the tang of blackberry yogurt.

Food Matching

An excellent accompaniment to cold meats, mild cheeses as well as most red and white meats. Incredibly versatile.

Vineyard

Grapes have had to overcome a growing cycle influenced by very unusual weather. Heavy spring rains and low temperatures delayed the growing season and resulted in uneven ripening.

Vinification

The fermentation temperatures are controlled and go up to 28 - 29º. De-vatting (the separation of the liquid from its solid parts after fermentation) is carried out when the colour extraction has reached optimal levels. The wine is aged in a mixture of new and old American oak for 14 months.
