"Since 1934, four generations of their family have specialized in producing wines that stand out because of their sense of place, purity, and balance. To that end, they farm sustainably and use traditional vinification techniques in order to produce wines that represent them and faithfully reflect the vineyards they come from."

Friday 9th of April @ 7 pm

Bringing you one of Chile's best natural vineyards with Scotland's best cheeses houses for the ultimate virtual tasting.

After many successful virtual tastings last year we bring you the third in our 2021 series, and due to the majority of you last year ordering our Antipasto platters to accompany the tastings we’ve teamed up with I.J Mellis to offer the ultimate wine & food pairing. We’ve had Rory Mellis pair up 2 kinds of cheese and 2 types of meat to go perfectly with the wines for tasting from

De Martino.

Join us for an evening of wine, cheese, and meat tasting. Including those tasty Perello Gordal olives again!

We are bringing you the best of both wine from De Martino in Chile and cheese & meats from one of Scotland’s finest purveyors of fine cheese and meats.

When: 9th of April, 7 pm Live from Zoom.

Live from Chile, Edinburgh, Banchory, and Aberdeen.

- x1 75cl Bottle

2018

Viejas Tinajus Cinsault

"Gallardía is a fresh and highly food-friendly wine. This Cinsault comes from the Itata Valley and is light, juicy, and easy to drink. Highly versatile.."

The Cheeses

Golden Cross

"

A nicely balanced, creamy, and luxurious goat's milk cheese."

Gubbeen

"

It complements the red dark fruits and spices. It's a little younger than usual at the moment and would stand up to the strength of the above without overpowering it."

Which are perfectly paired with the wines.

The Meats

Capacollo

"

A cured and salted pork prosciutto/salami from Felino, Italy. Cut from the neck/shoulder of the pig so it has a bit more fat than usual which creates a nice sweet flavour."

 Bresaola

"Salted beef that has been aged two or three months until it becomes hard and turns a dark red, almost purple color. Strong venison, meaty taste with a soft and supple texture."

Which are perfectly paired with the wines.
