Fettercairn 28 Year Old
70cl - 42% ABV
Aged for 28 year in ex bourdon barrels, a truly glorious expression of Fettercairn.
“Since Sir Alexander Ramsay established the distillery in 1824 we’ve been going to extraordinary lengths to capture the purest expression of our whisky’s character. Located in the foothills of Scotland’s Cairngorms, we don’t just use crystal clear mountain water as an ingredient, we drench our stills with it, cooling the copper so only the finest vapors rise. Over the years, the water pouring down the outside of the stills gives a unique and beautiful green patina.”
Colour: Deep shimmering gold
Nose: Pineapple and melon give way to treacle and banana, with a hint of warm ginger and liquorice
Taste: Citrus peel and black pepper, tempered by walnuts, vanilla and spices. Coffee, apricot and a touch of sweet balsamic complete this rewarding experience.
