Pinot Noir, Vinamar
Chile – 2018
Tasting Note: Light, toasty Chilean Pinot Noir, fragrant with raspberries and red cherries with that warm, toasty scent of oak on the finish.
Food Matching: Ideal to pair with game birds, soft cheeses and pasta
Vineyard: From the cool climate of the Casablanca Valley, Vinamar wines are crafted by gifted young winemaker, Francesca Perazzo. The cool nights mean that grapes ripen perfectly and arrive at the winery in pristine condition ready to be transformed into these fantastic easy drinking styles.
Vinification: After harvest, grapes are kept at low temperature (<15°C) to keep the fruits in optimal conditions. Fermentation occurs adding selected yeast at controlled temperatures (<26°C) with soft pump overs (1-2 times). After fermenting, wine has wood contact for 2 months to add structure and some sweetness.
