Grapes are sourced from the northern end of California's long Central Valley. Malbec here benefits from the cooling influence of San Francisco Bay so grapes retain freshness. After fermntation, 70% of the Malbec is aged on oak for 4 months giving good integration and subtle oak characteristics. A small percentage of Syrah is blended into the wine before bottling to give some extra structure to this plush red wine.
