"Why we bottled this – This barrel was part of a 4-cask parcel; we bought the entire parcel purely to get this cask. It is an absolute stunner. We’ve tried many private cask Bruichladdichs, but few have the depth, texture, and immense character of this one. We were immediately smitten. 

Genuinely upsetting for us that we only have 140 bottles to share globally, as this one deserves to be tasted. This obviously means it’s a bit more expensive than this one, but we think it still represents very fair value for the
age, distillery, and exclusivity.

We’ve done something slightly different with bottling this one, switching to a 20micron filter rather than the standard finer filters. We did this to give as close to a raw, direct-from-the-cask experience for our customers. The texture of this cask is exceptional, and the wider filter helps preserve this. As a result, expect some very fine cask char sediment to settle, but we think this only adds to the experience."
