The Speyside stages start in Elgin, so this Glen Elgin seemed like the perfect dram for the moment. Normally we'd be pretty nervous of 1st fill sherry and delicate Glen Elgin, but this is an Americal Oak sherry cask so it's not as dry and spicy and the balance is really good."
