Leo de la Gaffelière Bordeaux
Léo de la Gaffelière 2022 is an approachable, fruit-forward red wine from the prestigious Saint-Émilion appellation on Bordeaux’s Right Bank. Produced by the Malet Roquefort family, whose winemaking heritage in Saint-Émilion dates back to 1705, it offers an inviting introduction to the character and elegance of the region.
Made from a Merlot-led blend with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, this Bordeaux red combines generous ripe fruit with freshness and supple tannins. The nose reveals black cherry and raspberry, complemented by hints of vanilla, liquorice and warming spice.
On the palate, it is rounded and smooth, with juicy fruit, silky tannins and a refreshing lift that keeps the wine balanced. Its approachable style makes it an excellent choice for relaxed dinners and traditional food pairings.
