The highly anticipated Meikle Tòir The Turbo 2026 Edition has arrived at The Strong Water Co. Crafted at The GlenAllachie Distillery under the watchful eye of legendary whisky maker Billy Walker, this limited-edition 5-year-old Speyside single malt is a seriously punchy dram.

With an impressive 71 PPM, The Turbo is the most heavily peated expression in the Meikle Tòir range. This 2026 release combines American virgin oak, Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, bringing together intense peat smoke, rich sweetness and warming spice.

A Different Side of Speyside

Speyside might be better known for its fruity, elegant single malts, but Meikle Tòir is here to challenge expectations.

Produced during GlenAllachie's annual six-week peated whisky production period, The Turbo uses mainland peat sourced from St Fergus in Aberdeenshire.

Combined with an extended 160-hour fermentation, this creates a distinctive, heavily peated Speyside whisky with plenty of character.

The 2026 edition takes things a step further, combining three different cask styles to deliver a bold and complex whisky.

Nose: Warm honey, candied hazelnuts, molasses, crystallised ginger and mocha.

Palate: Butterscotch, orange zest, honeycomb, plum syrup and rich smoky sweetness.

Finish: Dried red berries, cinnamon, salted caramel and lingering peat smoke.
