Big, bold and packed with hops, Muckle IPA is a mighty West Coast IPA brewed by Swannay Brewery on the Orkney Islands.

“Muckle” means big, and this beer certainly lives up to the name. Brewed with generous additions of Simcoe, Citra and Mosaic hops, Muckle IPA delivers a powerful hop character balanced by a subtle underlying sweetness. The result is a full-flavoured yet impressively balanced Scottish IPA.

Expect plenty of bright citrus, tropical fruit and resinous hop character, backed by enough sweetness to balance the beer’s assertive bitterness and 6.6% ABV.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Big, expressive hops with citrus, tropical fruit and pine.

Taste: Bold Simcoe, Citra and Mosaic hop flavours with juicy citrus and tropical fruit, resinous notes and a balancing malt sweetness.

Finish: Long, hoppy and satisfyingly bitter with lingering fruit and pine.
