Little Brown Dog North British 1996 – 30-Year-Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky

Choose whisky. Choose Little Brown Dog. Choose a 30-year-old single grain.

Distilled in Edinburgh on 30 September 1996, the same year Trainspotting arrived in cinemas, this remarkable North British single grain Scotch whisky has spent three decades maturing in a Colheita port pipe.

Bottled by Little Brown Dog Spirits at 47.5% ABV, the whisky combines the soft, rounded character of mature grain spirit with layers of sweet red fruit, confectionery and beautifully integrated oak.

Single grain whisky is often overlooked in favour of single malt, but releases like this demonstrate just how rewarding long maturation can be. The Colheita port cask adds another dimension, producing a rich, fruity whisky with exceptional balance.

The Trainspotting-inspired label is a playful nod to the whisky's Edinburgh origins and 1996 vintage. Just 479 bottles were produced.
