Matured in ex-bourbon casks for 15 years, Cask Orkney combines the honeyed, fruity character of island malt with aromatic heather, warming spice and a gentle thread of smoke. Bottled at 46% ABV, this is a characterful yet approachable Orkney whisky with plenty of depth.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Clover honey, Parma violet and ripe peach, followed by aromatic heather and gentle smoky embers.
Palate: Grilled plum and traditional barley sugar lead into herbal hops, caraway and warming spice.
Finish: Long and gently smoky, with pepper, tart citrus and fresh pine lingering on the finish.

Cask Orkney was created by A.D. Rattray to celebrate the history, landscape and character of the Orkney Islands. Matured in ex-bourbon casks, the maturation allows the distinctive character of the Orkney single malt to shine through.
The result is a superb combination of honey, stone fruit, spice and subtle smoke – an excellent choice for whisky drinkers looking for a mature island single malt with complexity without overwhelming peat.
