Côtes de Provence Rosé Symphonie Organic, Château Sainte Marguerite Cru Classé

12.5% ABV

Tasting Note: This stunner from Château Sainte Marguerite is one of the ultimate expressions of this famous region's rosé wines. Finesse, elegance and aromatic pleasure - it is clear and bright with a light pink hue. On the nose, it's floral and delicate with aromas of white flowers and passion fruit. On the palate, delicate acidity with notes of peach, orange peel and exotic fruits. Comes in a rather stylish shaped bottle to boot... This could well be the best rosé in the world.

Food Matching: Symphony Rosé is a great wine for gastronomy and is at its best when served with fine cuisine and high quality produce. Enjoy with truffle and scallop risotto, seafood, sushi and Thai dishes. Serve chilled.

Vineyard: Grapes are from Grenache and Cinsault vines dating back to 1936.

Vinification: Skin contact maceration at cold temperature before pressing and fermentation at temperature controlled. This promotes the formation of delicate primary fruit varietal character, typical of these grapes. The juice spends some time on fine lees to give the wine some texture.

Awards and Press News: ‘This should be available at every restaurant that has seafood on the menu,’ began consultant Cinthia Lozano, echoing the sentiments of the rest of the judges who awarded this Gold. ‘It’s very elegant,’ added team leader Sarah Jane Evans MW, who described ‘lifted, aromatic, floral notes of roses and strawberry jam that lead to a clean, limpid palate’. For fellow team leader Martin Lam, ‘red fruit and herbal notes on the nose’ led to a palate that was ‘linear, concentrated and persistent’. Gold Medal, Sommelier Wine Awards 2019
