This is Petit Chablis that teaches you a life lesson; it is altogether more serious than its appellation would lead you to believe.
Pure and direct, very much in the Séguinot family's house style. No oak is used at this estate, and this is reflected in the applely, mineral and linear character of the wine. Time on its lees has given it a lovely texture and breadth to complement the bruised apple and citrus fruit.

Croque monsieur.
Unlike the rest of Burgundy, of which Chablis is the most northerly part, Chablis has four appellations and not three. There used to be three until 1944, when Petit Chablis was created to account for the newer vines being planted on top of the hills with Portlandian limestone soils.
