Glen Elgin 2009
Finished in a Sauternes cask that we personally imported direct from France. Only 400 real Sauternes casks are allowed to be sold each year, many "Sauternes" casks are in fact knackered old red wine casks, lasered and pressure washed with sweet wine. The only way we could be sure to get the correct casks was to deal directly with the source.
A delicate distillate like Glen Elgin deserves a careful touch and the finish just elevates it without being too heavy handed
