Unplugged Riesling, Weingut Tesch

Pretty, approachable Riesling from a well-respected producer, brimming with apples and peaches and boasting a wonderful bouquet of wildflowers.

The grapes are sorted manually and destemmed and they remain in contact with the skins for 4-8 hours before pressing. Fermentation takes place using wild and cultured yeast in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 12-15°C and lasts for 40 days. The wine remains on its lees for 6-12 weeks with regular battonage. In common with all Tesch wines, this wine is not aged in oak. Martin Tesch, a great rock music fan, believes that Riesling needs no amplification; therefore he describes this as Riesling 'Unplugged'. The wine is filtered before bottling.

Great accompaniment to fish, shellfish or poultry dishes.
