Château de Villegeorge Haut-Medoc 2003

The 2003 Bordeaux vintage is characterized by an extremely hot and dry growing season, resulting in concentrated wines with high levels of tannins. While the Cabernet Sauvignon performed well, particularly on the Left Bank, the Merlot on the Right Bank experienced more challenges with tannin levels. The vintage is considered uneven, with some stunning wines and others showing overripe characteristics. Despite the challenges, some properties, especially in the Médoc, produced wines considered superior to those of 2000, 1982, 1989, and 1990
