This cask was the first I ever purchased as an independent bottler and marked the beginning of the long journey ahead. While I was blessed to have access to some of the casks my Grandfather laid down from his time in the industry, it was apparent that I would have to source further casks to continue growing the business. Purchased years before my first release even hit the shelves, this cask has been sitting in the warehouse patiently waiting for the right time to be bottled. Now, at 18 years old, it is ready.

Matured entirely in a refill hogshead, it has taken time for the nutty style of the spirit to take on the complexity required to be right for bottling. A slow maturation with just a subtle cask influence, this release allows us to see the incredible qualities of Macduff Distillery shine through.
