Discover the Bowmore 2015 11 Year Old from Little Brown Dog, available from The Strong Water Co Banchory Whisky Shop and The Strong Water Co Ballater Whisky Shop in Royal Deeside.

Distilled on 23/02/2015 and bottled on 05/05/2026, this limited release Islay single malt was matured in a single bourbon barrel with only 272 bottles released worldwide.

Although technically a small batch due to the spirit being bulk vatted by the distillery before cask filling, Little Brown Dog chose to bottle this single cask individually to preserve its unique and distinctive character.

A Unique Bowmore Single Malt Whisky

This exceptional Bowmore showcases a softer and fruit-forward side of Islay whisky. The cask stood apart from the rest of the parcel with an unusually expressive profile combining soft peat smoke, creamy texture and vibrant stone fruit sweetness.

Expect layers of peach, vanilla, gentle maritime smoke and oily malt balanced by an incredibly distinctive savoury finish reminiscent of roast chicken crisps.

Rather than vatting the parcel together and losing this individuality, Little Brown Dog bottled the cask on its own to celebrate its wonderfully quirky and memorable flavour profile.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Soft peat smoke, peach syrup, vanilla cream and gentle coastal salinity.

Palate

Creamy texture with orchard fruits, peach sweets, sweet malt, light smoke and warming spice.

Finish

Long and savoury with lingering peat, salty crisps and an unmistakable roast chicken crisp note.

The Story Behind the Label

The label artwork celebrates the whisky’s unusually savoury and nostalgic flavour profile. Inspired by the roast chicken crisp character found in the finish, Little Brown Dog designed the label to resemble a classic roast chicken crisps packet.

The team even drew a roast chicken directly onto the cask in the warehouse to make sure they remembered which barrel held this wonderfully unusual whisky.
