Tasting notes

The legendary sandy clay terroir of Poyeux distinguishes its Chenin with fresh aromas of white flower and citrus. Use of old oak provides a rich, building texture without anything too heavy handed. A very impressive, high intensity finish.

Wine making

A small parcel grown on sandy clay, elevage entirely in barrels of varying ages for 12 months. 6000 bottles made.

Food pairing

Creamy white meat or fish dishes work nicely here, the richer the better as the acidity in the wine will work as the perfect foil.
