Malvasia Reserva has been aged for 5 years in French Oak casks using the Canteiro method (meaning aged in warm rooms heated by the natural island climate, with no artificial heat used to accelerate maturation).

A sweet Madeira from small producer Barbeito, this wine is made from 100% Malvasia grapes, one of the 4 noble grape varieties used in Madeira production. A naturally sweet grape, fermentation is halted early by the addition of alcohol to maintain a high level of sugar
