The Kirschgarten Grosses Gewächs ('Cherry Garden' Grand Cru) has an irresistibly juicy aroma of fresh red cherries, as suggested by the name, followed by subtle strawberry-leaf nuances after some exposure to air. This is an utterly delicious, top Pinot Noir to drink now, with more cherry and strawberry on the palate, with a delicate leafy character and just a hint of smokiness. Even though this is ready to go immediately, there is no hurry. Drink now or over the next five years.
