Pictus, Painted Wolf

The name, Pictus comes from the scientific name for the Painted Wolf( African wild dog) and is derived from the Latin 'pictus', meaning 'painted'. 

Tasting Notes

Every year Painted Wolf created a special wine from the best barrels of the vintage, this is Pictus. Rich, concentrated grapes from 44-year-old bush vines. Which have produced an intense, spicy blend with abundant blackberries, forest fruits, leather, mushroom, and black pepper flavours. The wine matured for 16 months in oak barrels, 25% of which were new.

Only 5,400 bottled were produced.
