Aberlour 2014 11 Year Old – Little Brown Dog Spirits

A seriously rich, sherry-matured 11 Year Old Aberlour Single Malt Scotch Whisky bottled by Little Brown Dog Spirits.

Distilled on 2nd December 2014, the whisky was matured in a highly active first-fill Oloroso Sherry hogshead before being bottled on 16th July 2026 at 54.4% ABV cask strength.

Just 310 bottles were produced.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Black cherry jam, cacao and pencil case.

Palate: Dark chocolate, Brazil nuts and boozy clootie dumpling.

Finish: Hot honey and coffee cake.

A Proper Sherry Bomb

Little Brown Dog freely admits this isn't their usual restrained approach to sherry maturation. Instead, this is a big, intensely flavoured Oloroso-matured Aberlour.

The naturally deep colour comes entirely from the cask, with the whisky bottled at cask strength, naturally coloured and non-chill filtered.

Fans of the richer side of Aberlour – particularly classic heavily sherried expressions – should find plenty to enjoy here.
